Drawn Together...

It's neat to see cartoon characters drawn with a different style.
And it's especially unique to see your own characters re-done in tribute form...
Here's some cool Dexter Comics fan-art:

GoldenEye - Beta & Gameshark

Recently got out my Gameshark and began playing around with GoldenEye 007. I particularly like changing stuff that appears in a mission's intro scene.

It led me to create a quick page we'll call "Beta Objects", as well as a few codes. Check out goldeneye007.webuda.com

GoldenEye Tribute...

James Bond and the "beta" boat at the island
Almost five years since I last played GoldenEye 007... Recently played a few rounds of Multiplayer, and it took me back to the files I collected during the years of Detstar's Goldeneye site...

I've put together a little collection here:
 http://goldeneye007.webuda.com

Four different suits worn by 007,
featured in Multiplayer using Gameshark codes..
Seemed like a waste to keep all these pics permanently archived... Especially since the game's a classic, and still being enjoyed to this day.

It's a world that I've been out of for so long, so naturally I was blown away after seeing the amazing things that they've done with ROMs & emulators, especially Goldeneye X.

What's the big deal, man?
Dexter Comics Episode 180
Life is a highway... And it's always an adventure when Marley's at the wheel...
Presenting Dexter Comics Episode 180, appropriately numbered...

Legend of Detstar

Trevelyan: For England, James?
Bond: No. For me.
13 years ago to this day (September 24, 1999), an aspiring webmaster opened a website, sharing his Goldeneye 007 obsession with the world. I never imagined the pages would be so quickly devoured by fellow Goldeneye fanatics, nor could I have predicted that the site would evolve into nearly a thousand pages...

Here's a quick look back that at the beginning, the rise and fall of the gamesite as we knew it.... Legend of Detstar.

Pyro Pete and Dexter the horrible...
Dexter Comics Episode 179
In a brand new episode of the Comics, Pete meets up with an old buddy... If you can get something for free, why pay for it? Dexter practices this school of thought with the cafeteria's vending machine.

City of the Damned...

A pirate, a priest and a terroristare sitting at a bar in Hell...
Here's Dexter Comics Episode 177, the first episode in nearly 4 years... Dexter finds himself in Hell, playing cards with other criminals. Guest stars include the infamous Captain Blackbeard, and international terror sensation Osama bin Laden!

Decided to post new comics on deviantArt for now, because blogger squishes 'em down, making the text unreadable.

Dexter Comics 2012

Spoof of Green Day's 1992 Kerplunk album cover
featuring Skye from Dexter Comics.
(See my Green Day version on deviantArt)
Been working on a few new episodes... Much to my own surprise, I can still draw the characters right out of my head.

Encyclopedia DetStaria...

Anyone looking for the lost pages of Detstar.com can go here: http://web.archive.org/.

I spent some time browsing the GoldenEye section, and it's cool, yet eerie. Some of this stuff I wrote over a decade ago. A few screens are missing, but it's like touring the ruins of an ancient pyramid. Some of the treasures are gone, but you can still read the hieroglyphs on the walls.

Also glad that GoldenEye 007 has managed to live on forever, and is still being played all over the world. Rock on!

Still Out There...

I'm back.... Despite reports on my official blog that I'm dead. Don't read everything you read on the Internet... But you CAN believe what's posted on this blog. Most of it, anyway...

Fans of the Detstar gamesites should read "Epilogue to the Detstar Gamesites" & "End of an Era".

For the skeptics wondering "Are you really, truly the guy from Detstar????". With so many impostors and fraudsters on the net, it's a valid question. I'll let you decide for yourself.
